    Question

Do I have to disconnect anything (electrical) besides the battery when I use a mig welder on the car?

I've always been told to unplug the ECU because of GPR (ground potential rise).

Sorry I'm not any more help...

I usually do disconnect the battery. this prevents any random or accidental fuel pump activity. Also I would be cautious around the fuel tank, remember, gas doesnt explode, gas FUMES do. So be careful...
I've welded on a few cars and trucks... and had a zero fatality rate so far, although a few close calls have been learning experiences. smile
    What are you welding anyway?
